By Alan D Campbell Jesus Christ will marry the church when he returns to set up the Kingdom of God. He loved the church and gave himself for it as recorded in Ephesians 5:25-27: “25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” (KJV) Yes, Jesus Christ wants his church to be a glorious church without any spots, wrinkles, or blemishes. He will marry the church. He wants his bride the Church of God to be holy. Spots What are spots? Spots are our sins. Sin is the transgression of the law of God (I John 3:4). We must ask God to remove our spots and do our part to prevent any future spots. Linen does not come with spots. However, sin easily besets us. We must strive with Gods help to become blameless and without spot. Wrinkles What do wrinkles represent? Wrinkles represent our character flaws. The wrinkles must be removed from our garment if we are to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb Revelation 19:6-9 describes how the wife of Jesus Christ, which is the Church of God, has made herself ready for the marriage supper of the Lamb: “6And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.” (KJV) All of our righteousness is like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). We must put on the righteousness of Jesus Christ, which is typified by linen. What are the three properties of the linen we should put on for the marriage supper of the Lamb? The linen is fine, it is clean, and it is white. The Linen Is Fine Linen Linen is made from the flax plant. Fine linen has always been considered a fabric of luxury. Luxury items are expensive, and we were bought with a great price through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God is seeking excellence in quality and beauty of character. Fine linen can be produced only through the carefully controlled use of moisture and heat. Our own efforts alone are not sufficient. Without God’s help, we can do nothing. Linen is strong and highly durable. Strength and endurance are important character traits to God Linen wrinkles easily. Likewise, sin can so easily beset us. One must set an iron at the hottest setting to remove the wrinkles. The heat symbolizes the trials that we must endure that help refine our character. However, linen absorbs water readily. Likewise, we are to absorb the Holy Spirit. The water used in the ironing process is symbolic of Gods Holy Spirit, which we need to endure our trials. Just as water helps to remove wrinkles from linen, likewise the Holy Spirit helps us remove our spiritual wrinkles. Linen is lustrous, which means that it reflects light. We are to reflect God’s light to the world. The Linen Is Clean Fine linen soils less quickly than cotton, and it gives up stains readily. However, any stains on linen should be removed by laundering the stains when fresh. If allowed to set, stains may be impossible to remove at a later date. We must resist sin, and quickly repent when we do sin. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin upon our confession and repentance (I John 1:9). We have to have faith that all means all. We have to forgive ourselves and let go of the guilt because Jesus Christs blood is the precious bride price. Jesus Christ wants the linen we will wear to the marriage supper of the Lamb to be clean because Jesus Christ is clean. The Linen Is White Fine linen must be bleached to bring out its potential pure white beauty. The finest results are produced by grass bleaching, in which the linen is spread out in the fields to be gradually bleached by the sun. Chemical bleaching is more commonly used, as it is less time consuming, but it can injure the fabric and adversely affect its durability. God says in Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (KJV) High quality linens improve with age and become whiter, smoother, and more lustrous. Likewise, we are to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (II Peter 3:18). Conclusion As we await the return of Jesus Christ and the marriage supper of the Lamb, we should prepare our garments. The marriage supper of the Lamb will be a great wedding feast. We must seek the forgiveness of Jesus Christ to remove our stains and strive diligently with the help of the Holy Spirit to remove all of our wrinkles. We should let our light shine as we reflect the luster of the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will return to the earth, marry his bride the Church of God, and set up the Kingdom of God. Your internal clock, however, is still set on London time of two o’clock in the morning and is telling you that you should be in bed and fast asleep. Whatever method you use for either preventing or curing jet lag, and there are many different ways of doing this, the end result must be a realignment of your own body clock to that of local time, if the symptoms of jet lag are to disappear. So can this be achieved with a simple pill? One of the most widely used pills available today is a homeopathic preparation containing such things as extracts from the chamomile plant and a common form of daisy. Now while homeopathic remedies have a long and well established history, and while chamomile itself is known for its properties in assisting sleep, it seems more than a little far fetched to suggest that taking a pill before you take off will fast forward your body clock some six hours during the course of your flight from London to Singapore. So why do so many people swear by such pills? There are probably four reasons: First, we are conditioned to believe that the advance of science is such that doctors can cure just about anything today and so why shouldn’t we believe in a pill to cure jet lag. Second, different drug trials have demonstrated time and time again the power of the “placebo effect”. In other words, the mere fact that something is being done to combat a condition can in itself produce the felling that it works. Third, jet lag doesnt always kick in straight away. Were all familiar with the fact that a few late nights doesnt always effect us straight away and that it may be two or three days before our late nights catch up with us. Because many travelers also feel fine for their first couple of days they assume that the pills must have worked. When jet lag does catch up with them, they then often wrongly attribute their symptoms to the change in climate or something they’ve eaten. Fourth, the sale of pills, of any description, is big businesses supported by big advertising budgets and clever marketing. This marketing extends to jet lag pills and is even supported by studies which clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of such pills. The only problem here is that many of the studies quoted are fundamentally flawed and lack any detail. Most studies, for example, involve airline crews, in particular cabin staff, who are hardly representative of the bulk of the traveling public and might well be thought to have a vested interest in promoting air travel. It would be lovely if we could just take a pill when we board the aircraft and arrive at our destination with no jet lag. Unfortunately, at least for now, this simply isnt possible. Preventing jet lag, or at least reducing jet lag symptoms considerably, is not difficult and involves a little bit of planning in advance of your trip and following a careful, but simple, plan before, during and after your flight. But he still becomes a Buddha even though numerous beings called upon him and were not born in the Pure Land. The Underworld Bodhisattva “Di Zang Wang Pusa” also made a vow that if the underworld is not empty, he won’t want to be a Bodhisattva, but he still becomes a Bodhisattva. Vows are very important, it makes one consciously committed to his words that he will do such an action. In the temple of Tao of Heaven, it is similarly applied to the receipient of The Heavenly Tao. There are Ten Vows and the last vow is “Let God punish me with thunders.” The meaning is as follows: The vow “Let God punish me with thunders” means to be hit by the five thunders. Thunder is pure ‘yang,’ the most righteous of all ‘yang.’ Its strength is like diamond. The five thunders are the thunder of Heaven, the thunder of Earth, the thunder of ‘yang,’ the thunder of ‘yin,’ and the thunder of the Dharma. When the thunder of Heaven strikes, overcast sky becomes clear immediately. When the thunder of Earth strikes, all lives and matters sprout. When the thunder of ‘yang’ strikes, all evil spirits vanish. When the thunder of ‘yin’ strikes, all demons and monsters hide. When the thunder of Dharma strikes, Tao of Heaven is spread rapidly. “Thunder” is not necessarily restricted to that of the weather. The five thunders also exist in one’s body. The thunder of Heaven strikes when one feels shameful and angry as his face and ears turn red. The thunder of Earth strikes when one hesitates to do unrighteous acts. The thunder of ‘yang’ strikes when one feels anxious as he encroaches propriety. The thunder of ‘yin’ strikes when one becomes nervous as he conspires. The thunder of Dharma strikes when one becomes troubled, even in his dreams, as his mind becomes astray. Whenever the desire and the conscience confront each other, it is the time the five thunders strike. If one repents at that moment, respects the thunder of Heaven to open his door to Heaven, becomes alert to the thunder of Earth to close the door to the Underworld. He holds the thunder of ‘yang’ to retain his true spirit, refrains the thunder of ‘yin’ to intensify his true vitality. He then follows the thunder of Dharma to calm the soul, his three treasures of the body (soul, spirit and vitality) gather and his ‘Qi’ (spirit) of the five fundamental elements (wood, water, fire, metal and earth) coagulate. Then it is not difficult for him to restore his original True Self and enjoy the everlasting purity and tranquillity. Three thousand years ago, Saints like Duke Zhou had felt the power of wind and thunder, and Confucius had written down the mystic changes of wind and thunder. If one does not repent when his five thunders strike, his vitality would be expended, his ‘Qi’ of the five fundamental elements dispersed, his soul worn down, his ‘Po’ ( spirit of sense) lost, and his ‘Hun’ (spirit of consciousness) shaken. He would look exhausted, become sick, and wouldn’t know the cause of his death. The punishment of thunder needs not come from thunders that can be seen or heard. The receipients of The Heavenly Tao are given Three Heavenly Treasures during the ceremony. The Three Heavenly Treasures are firstly “The Heavenly Eye or The Divine Eye or The Third Eye,” secondly “The Divine Mantra” and thirdly “The Holy Seal.” These Three Heavenly Treasures cannot be simply disclosed to anyone, anywhere, anytime, and it can be only revealed in the Temple of Tao of Heaven under certain conditions set by Heaven. If anyone reveals it simply on purpose, then the vow “Let God punish me with thunders” applies, it is the thunder that cannot be seen or heard.
