The Diet Debate Ended

Lundi, janvier 7th, 2008

By Dr. Jamie Fettig Which diet is the best? ALL of them and NONE of them. I am going to let you in on a little secret. It often shocks and disrupts peoples world, but you need to hear it. You ready? Everyone is different. “Everyone is different,” something everyone knows but yet no one really takes into account when dishing out recommendations and advice. The reason why all diets work is because they work for at least one person, usually the one telling everyone else about it. And the reason none of the diets work is because no one diet is right for everyone. So what do you eat? I have made it really simple. Eat whatever you inner knowing tells you to eat as long as it is fresh and pure. That is all you have to do. The answers that suddenly become relevant are to the questions of what is fresh and pure and how does your inner knowing tell you what to eat? Fresh means not in a box, not in a can and if you let it set out too long, it will spoil or go bad. A simple guideline is anything around the outside of a grocery store: Fruits, vegetables, bulk food, nuts and seeds, fish, meat, dairy, etc. This food is fresh. Frozen food is better than canned or in a box, but not as good as fresh. So if you have to buy something from the middle of the grocery store, frozen is a better option. Pure means nothing added. No sugar, sweeteners, artificial ingredients, preservatives, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or any other poisons they put on or in your food. Said another way, like you would find the food in nature before man tried to improve it. This usually means organic. Follow your inner knowing eating fresh and pure food. So what is your inner knowing? Some call it your intuition, your inner intelligence and your gut knowing. It is the knowing you have before you think. It is that knowing that comes from within your soul or heart that is smarter than your mind. Your inner knowing talks to you all the time. You even hear your inner knowing it is just many of us usually dont listen. You know how when you are full and you “know” you should stop eating and often even say it out loud, but then keep eating anyway. This is exactly what I mean. When choosing what to eat your inner knowing will tell you what you “want.” And as long as you are choosing from fresh and pure options eat whatever your inner knowing tells you to eat. How much food do you eat? Eat as much or as little as your inner knowing tells you to eat. Some days it might be 3,000 calories, others it might be 1,000. You no longer have to worry about counting calories or carbs. Just eat as much as your inner knowing says. No more and no less. When you listen to your inner knowing and choose from fresh and pure options, you will be eating the perfect “diet” for you. No more starvation, no more restrictions and no more counting. You will have Freedom from the shackles of diets for life. Be Sexy, Slim, Slender and Healthy for Life. Dr. Jamie wants to help give you this with a “non-diet” where you are eating great tasting healthy food. He is also giving you dozens of valuable free gifts to “ethically bribe” you into helping him make his new book, “The Ultimate Non-Diet” a #1 best seller. Career Choice - The Considerations

Vendredi, janvier 4th, 2008

By CD Mohatta How does one decide one’s career? How does one decide and take a decision that may shape the life excellently or doom it forever? It is not as if nobody has the right or opportunity to choose
their own vocations. Circumstances decide the way things will go. But it is true that many people when asked, will say that they would prefer a different job or career of their own taste and liking. Most people now have a formal education before they step in the real world where each one is to his own. Careers start at a very junior level. There are very few people who actually start at the top. They either inherit or are extremely brilliant. You may consider artists. Art is considered by most of us as a hobby. Very few venture from the beginning to become artists for a living, since it is well known that an artist might take years before his work is recognized and gets some value.
Till then they are non-entities and have to depend on some other vocation for their living. May times careers are decided by an individuals belief in his/her capability. Bill Gates left Harvard to co-found Microsoft. if he had continued at Harvard, he might not have reached where he is today. He might have gone the
conventional way of taking up the best job offering a good salary. Instead he pursued his natural talent in software. I needn’t talk further about him. People actually take up jobs and see how they cope up with the same. It has been seen in many cases, where executives keep on flitting between different jobs and departments and ultimately take up something else which is very different from what they started with. Its this experimentation which helps them discover their natural talent.
People learn about their own temperament with experience. They slowly move towards their goal.Very few are able to transform their avocations into their vocations. People with determination try and succeed wonderfully in their own interest and work. Kalpana Chawla, the astronaut on the ill fated Columbia, nursed a wish to fly into space and become an astronaut. Scientists like Einstein, Edison with their independent thinking and research reached a position
which is unrivaled. Abraham Lincoln chose politics and social work as his line and after numerous failures, became one of the most revered Presidents of the US. Gandhi and Martin Luther King chose the path of social change. They pursued their hearts and achieved their goals. The opportunity for pursuing one’s natural talent always exists. Its how one recognizes the same and then pursues the instinct that decides one’s fate. Mohatta writes about different aspect of life. Exposed: The 95% Dieting Lie That’s Keeping You Fat

Jeudi, janvier 3rd, 2008

By Naweko San-Joyz Repeat a lie often enough and people take it as truth. This describes the plight of the hackneyed statistic that 95% of all diets fail. Writers still tout this number as Pauls Gospel even though this study happened over 50 years ago. Dr. Albert Stunkard, Emeritus Director of the Weight and Eating Disorders Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, crafted this investigation in the 1950s. After examining 100 dieters, Dr. Stunkard found that only two people out of 100 sustained their ideal dieting weight after two years. Much in the world of dieting has changed since then, and new research heralds more change. Even Dr. Stunkard is a part of these advances. In 1996, he participated in a study that concluded that yo-yo dieting, or weight cycling, does not adversely affect the bodys metabolism or body fat distribution. Other dieting insights published in the Tufts University Health & Nutrition Letter discussed the finding of researchers at the University of Kentucky. The investigators collected data from 29 weight-loss studies involving thousands of dieters. These participants followed detailed meal-planning instructions that lasted from eight to thirty weeks. Five years after dieting, people kept off an average of about seven of the pounds they had originally lost. This is noteworthy, considering that many people naturally gain weight with age. The study further demonstrated that those who exercised the most frequently kept an average of 33 pounds off. Yet, the people on stringent calorie restricted diets tended to lose an average of more than 40 pounds and, five years later, kept off only 15 of the pounds they lost. To further expound upon the determinants of dieting success, psychologist Andrew J. Hill questioned the belief that dieting makes a person fat and published his finding in the British Journal of Nutrition. As Hill a lecturer at Leeds University School of Medicine at Leeds, Englandsees it, weve oversimplified the environmental, social and psychological factors that influence our self-image and weight. Also, would-be dieters too often assume that thin people never diet, when in fact, these svelte folks may be dieting experts. Similarly, Erin Putterman and Wolfgang Linden investigated whether dieting for health or vanity creates the negative situations associated with chronic dieting such as fasting and purging. Their findings, released in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine, concluded that when health-consciousness inspires a woman to diet, she is less likely to engage in desperate dieting attempts. Skinny Fat Chicks aims to expose self-sabotaging dieting habits of women while offering methods for sustaining dieting motivation for life. In short, it proposes that women who failed at dieting have failed to resolve three critical issues their identity crisis, educational crisis and celebration crisis.
